Daylight is a philanthropic organization whose mission is to build a sustainable model to support the development of the next generation of highly skilled artisans. Without mentors, these skills will become increasingly arcane and future generations will no longer have ready access to learning these crafts or understanding their value.

Support includes nurturing a community where skilled artisans can share ideas, collaborate, and mentor others. Support also means having a marketplace where artisans can share their wares and not have them gathering dust on a shelf.

We believe the value of creating quality crafts lies not just in the products produced but in the process of creation. Fine crafts is an antidote to our increasingly isolated culture. It imbues us with happiness, be it a sense of purpose, a feeling of accomplishment, or a conversation with like-minded friends.
